Counting riders and non-riders both, some 32 members participated in the July 17th event. It rained most of the morning, but by the time of the 4 pm ride, the weather began to clear. The location was moved from Stoney Creek Park to the Tuckahoe Clubhouse’s covered patio.

The bikers formed into two groups. Patty Browne led a large group of riders through the neighborhoods with few hills while Bob Browne led a smaller group to Hunters Point, then up Foothill Drive, with a small climb to Stony Creek Park, and back through the neighborhood. A total of 10 miles.

The roads of Stoney Creek were soon dry and had never seen so many bikers at one time. Wintergreen Sporting Club sponsored refreshments and picnic meals from Shadys. A special thanks to Robin Pullen and Ron Coté for their advice and help in organizing the picnic.
