Mill Creek is an attractive 190-acre man-made lake with lots of coves for boaters to poke around in and great fishing.

Boating: Upper James River
Set aside Monday, September 19th for our next river trip. We'll be heading down to Buchanan, Va., to paddle one of our favorite venues–the Upper James River. Water levels have been great. This is a fine trip for most everyone.
Boating: James River paddle in Buckingham County
"This is an eight-mile paddle over fairly easy water with mostly Class 1 rapids(Easy. Waves small; passages clear; no serious obstacles). Water levels here are now the best we've seen in several years," says Jerry.

An overnight trip to the Chincoteague area where we'll paddle Virginia's Eastern Shore Seaside Water Trail of salt water marshes, bays, and inlets. NOTE: The date on this trip has changed.

General Membership Meeting & Dinner
The WSC spring membership meeting and social dinner is scheduled for Saturday, May 7, at the Tuckahoe Clubhouse starting at 4pm.
The social dinner will start at 6pm. Continuing a tradition started with last fall’s popular chili cookout, WSC is providing a special dinner from Got Dumplings. The menu will offer a choice of shrimp, chicken & pork dumplings (and any of these dumpling in soup). Sides will include seaweed salad, kimchi, asian salad and egg fried rice. A special wine pairing to go with the menu, compiled by Stu Harvey, is included in the cost of the dinner.
